Digital and Nomadic Events

Programs -> Events

Pantheon Arts PDX’s programming stems from the three branches of support, the PAN Commune, the CPF Studio, and the LAB News, and our events are projected from those lists of programming first. Whereas our programming is what we can do, events are what we’re currently doing!

This page serves as a way to share the events that are currently planned or live. As a hybrid and nomadic non-profit we know we will discover many places, people, and ways to serve. We also strive to make more connections and discover where we can serve better to come to build more programs and space for writers, artists, and storytellers of all mediums and modalities!

Maybe you’ll find something that sparks your interest, something that helps to enkindle that creator that seeks to come out from the shadows and into the Sun.

Long-Term & Recurring Events

Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling and our partners, sponsors, and allies have many events that they host with and without us, and we are happy to help provide a shared spot to project those arrays of light!

Scribe Moot - NW Portland Hostel

Every 2nd and 4th Monday from 3-4pm (or later) at
1810 NW Glisan St, Portland, OR 97209

Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling, and our Nexus, a Commune of artists for artists, is excited to share a gathering that roots itself at the International NW Portland Hostel and Cafe. Find us in the Commons!

This creative group is built for writing and scribing, but all mediums are welcome! Open-ended, low-key, seeking various venues throughout PDX, including online, we help you to find safe and free spaces and places with like-minded folks to create art and stories.

Discover more of your stories within, the city we love to be weird in, and enkindle your inner creator with these shared lights of creation.

“Book Club”

Our Co-Director Kat and I are building this information, and are eager to seek a location for a physical book club to read a story that is written by and/or explores conditions experienced by a LGBTQIA+ and/or a BIPOC author for approximately 10 people in the local Portland Area.

The group will likely meet once a month, and we have a few venues that we are reaching out to both among partners and not!

End of November Start, details pending

November (‘25) NaNoWriMo Remembrance Marathon

A Daily Writing Sprint Online and In-Person in Portland!

We are attempting to build a foundation for people to find a space during what used to be National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, a celebration to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. We prefer the variation where you simply focus on the act of creation, making 50,000 words in a month!

We feel the loss of the organization and are not trying to rebuild what they had. We do believe, however, that we can each make change and honor their mission in different ways.

We’ll be online and in-person if you are in Portland, OR, to begin this journey, together!

  • Daily Livestream Writing Jog on Twitch and YouTube for at least an hour each day, and word count sharing via World Anvil.
We will to start around 12pm Pst most days.

  • A Public Accountability Buddy via our Director in our Discord Nexus, Live on November 1st!

  • In-Person Writing Sprint at the Multnomah County Central Library on November 15th from 2-5pm, and other pending locations from our Hosts of Light in Portland, OR.

  • Our Take HEART Method shared and practiced throughout the month.

Closed in March 2025 due to “Financial Stress”, the organization had celebrated it’s 25th year in 2024.

Join our Director as he begins the first book in our Quantum Wave Imprint’s new quest, and discover a place to submit through our Community Production Fellowship by the end of the year for a TBD Spring 2026 Publication.

It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule.

Writing Sprint in Remembrance of NaNoWriMo

Find us in the Large Community Room 1B, to the left of the entrance! At the Central Multnomah County Library, 801 SW 10th Ave, Portland, Oregon, US, 97205

Join Pantheon Arts and other members of our Commune for a good ole' fashioned writing sprint at the Library on November 15th - in honor of NaNoWriMo.

We'll be there for a few hours, from 2-5pm, but feel from to come and go as you will - writing comes and flows like that, sometimes!

Hope to see you there, on Twitch for our daily November writing jog and in our Discord when it launches on November 1st!

Light snacks will be provided.
