Keystone Events

The events that hold up our platforms and gates of expression;
Keystones which Guide the way!

Keyed Up for Adventure and Artistry!

A Keystone is the stone that hold an arch upright and stable!

What is a Keystone Event?

A Keystone Event is what you would call a “Main Event” for
Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling. It is that call to adventure that holds and sustains our organization as the larger events we only run on a seasonal basis, or even once per year!

“Poignance Past Winter”

Show on May 16 and 17

Theme: Poignance. Difficult Emotions, and Experiencing or Healing past Peril with Community and Expression.

Peril according to J.R.R. Tolkien:

“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”

Free Community Art Exhibition

This submission form is to participate in the "Poignance Past Winter" Community Exhibition that Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling is facilitating alongside our host and sponsor, Expensify; where they share their HQ in the heart of downtown Portland, OR, on May 16th and 17th and we are so grateful to share it with you, too!

We work alongside our Affinity Partner Expensify to create this free communal exhibition space for artists of many and multiple mediums. Our theme is Poignance, and the title of the gallery captures the ideal of Spring in that we might rebirth and have "Poignance Past Winter".

Winters of our lives, that is, when times are darkest, we need to acknowledge and accept those Shadows in safe, communal spaces, so that we can move on past those fears and cold nights, together. That is what this event is all about!

This is our first Community Gallery, and we are eager to be able to share this beautiful Italian marbled foundation with space for yourselves and many other artists in solidarity to a shared truth that we can see a brighter third way through the forests we walk, in solitude, but not alone.

This gallery will be for local artists only, this time. Local artists translates, for us, as those artists that are capable of taking a day drive to drop-off or pick-up their Pieces on the days ascribed below, though exceptions may apply.

Be Seen in the Light

Just as Expensify is paying it forward with us, at no cost to Pantheon Arts PDX, we give way for this gallery and yourselves, the artists - we take no fee for guests to attend or fees for pieces sold, only what you are willing to donate at any point along the process. If you don't want to sell your art and only want to display it, that is okay, too.

This form will be open from February 16th 2026 to April 19, 2026, while a small panel of three judges will decide whether pieces fit our broad theme meant to be accessible in this trying time. We will not be judging art on merits of composition, subjective quality, or from any other content shared within this form

Essentially, if you're local, and your art fits the theme, we're likely to have space for you alongside many other artists and mediums, and are eager to see your pieces on display in a place that is longing to share the truths you have found.

Address of Exhibition,
Bank of Expensify HQ: 401 SW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97204

Event link for event attendants will go out before March 2026.
