The Base Establishment (What) Workshop

What makes a story? Where does it all begin, and what direction does it go? What does it take to be a writer? Pantheon Arts understands that it can be difficult to find a place to build from, but establishing this foundation often enables you to have that safe space to go back to when you do get lost.

The process of storytelling is different for everyone, and as an interdisciplinary medium, we try to show the many tools and paths that can lead one to establish their base camp to then venture out from! Sometimes this is foundational lore for fantasy and sci/fi, other times it might be exploring a hybrid genre, or it might even be an inspiration sparked from another medium.

Join Pantheon Arts at The Paladin’s League during Geek Week, our hearth of the week, as we touch base on themes and tropes. Topics such as establishing a syntax and then breaking it, improving observation and focus, creating a space to create, developing a note taking technique, and other knowledge and methods that might aid you. In these outlining of story seeds we prime our other pillar workshops - building the world, shaping the people in it, and plotting how they interact.
